1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy applies to the Uttara University Assignment & Lab Report Cover Page Generator. We respect the privacy of every Uttara University student, faculty member, and guest user. This document transparently explains what data is handled, how it is processed, and our zero-tracking philosophy.

2. Data Handled by the Application

When you use this generator, you may input or auto-populate the following fields:

• Student Identification: Full Name, Student ID, Program / Department, Section, and Academic Semester.
• Academic Course Info: Course Title, Course Code, Report Type (Lab Report, Assignment, Project Proposal, etc.).
• Faculty Information: Teacher's Name, Academic Designation, Department, and Date of Submission.
• Custom Departmental Logos: Locally selected image files.

3. Zero Server Storage Guarantee

All document rendering, font adjustments, border calculations, PDF generation, and PNG exports occur entirely in-memory on your local device:

• Your entered assignment titles and student information are never sent to, stored in, or logged on our backend database.
• When you generate or download an A4 PDF or PNG, the conversion runs client-side via native browser rendering engines. No copy of your assignment cover is saved on our infrastructure.

4. Student Portal Login & ERP Authentication

The optional "Student Portal Login" feature allows students to automatically import their profile and enrolled courses from the Uttara University ERP system:

• Direct SSL Encryption: Your Student ID and password are transmitted exclusively over end-to-end encrypted HTTPS connections.
• No Password Retention: Your portal password is used solely to authenticate the active session and is immediately discarded. It is never stored in plaintext, hashed databases, or access logs.
• Voluntary Usage: You are never required to log in to use the generator. All features, presets, and export capabilities remain fully available without logging in.

5. Local Device Storage (LocalStorage)

For your convenience, the application uses your browser's built-in localStorage to save:

• Your last-used cover styling preferences (layout mode, margins, font family, accent color).
• Custom cover presets that you explicitly create and name.
• Your remembered Student ID (only if you checked "Remember my Student ID").

This data resides solely on your physical device. You can erase it at any time by clearing your browser cache or clicking the "Reset Cover Settings" button.

6. Third-Party Analytics & Cookies

We do not deploy invasive marketing trackers, advertising cookies, or user fingerprinting scripts. Your browsing habits and academic data are never packaged, sold, or shared with advertisers or third-party brokers.
